AMURT/AMURTEL (UK) will be running a fun filled, skills packed training weekend for anyone interested in disaster relief, international development and volunteering overseas.
The course will run from Friday the 23rd of May – Monday 26th at Sunrise Farm in Ireland and is open to anyone interested in volunteering overseas. Included in the training are the following topics:
- Expectations and Reality
- Introduction to Yoga and Meditation – great stress busters when overseas
- Outdoor Survival skills,
- Emergency First Aid
- Practical skills in living as a volunteer including sourcing food and water
- General fundraising
- Participatory approach to project management.
- Community participation
The cost for the 4 day training weekend is 150 GBP. However, concessions are available. If finances are an issue, do get in touch.
